This job requires the incumbent to direct and coordinate the activities of the Operations Division of the Prison Service, ensuring the proper functioning of correctional institutions, developing rehabilitative programs, and participating in policy formulation.

This job requires the incumbent to direct the operations of the Administration Division of the Prison Service, including Personnel, Accounts, Stores, Discipline, and Training College functions, participate in policy formulation, and ensure the Prison Service is adequately staffed.

This job requires the incumbent to manage and direct the activities of a number of specialized sections, which include the Criminal Investigations Department, Criminal Records Office, Court and Process Branch, Fraud Squad, and Homicide Bureau. Functions include monitoring the operations of the various units, approving work programs, directing the investigation of complex criminal matters, participating in the formulation of policies and the strategic plan for the Police Service, and performing general policing as required.

This job requires the incumbent to manage Divisions within a geographic region in the Police Service. Functions include development and formulation of policies and the strategic plan for the Police Service; establishing and monitoring systems/procedures to ensure the security of stations and the storage of arms and ammunition in the Police Stations within the specific Division; and performing general police duties as required.
